Overview
Carpenters construct commercial, residential, heavy highway and interior systems using wood, metal and concrete.
Employment Outlook
Initially Apprentices earn 50-55% of the Journeyman hourly wage. As the apprentice successfully completes the required coursework and on-the-job training, he/she will receive hourly increases throughout the training period. Upon successful completion of meeting the requirements to obtain their Journeyman card, apprentices then move to that status and earn the full Journeyman wage.
Employment demand is high and expected to remain so for the foreseeable future in construction.

Accreditation
This program is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. Upon completion, students will obtain a journeyman level status in carpentry, certification from State of AZ, and United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.
